Anatomy of this agent
An agent is instructions, skills, tools and knowledge. For each request it decides which of them to use; there is no fixed flow. Sensitive actions wait for a person’s approval.
Instructions (excerpt)
You pre-check new applications for case officers. When a new application arrives, read its record and attached documents, and check them against the requirements checklist for that service in Company Search. List every missing, expired or inconsistent item, quoting the requirement it fails. Draft a short, polite request to the applicant for what is missing, in the applicant's language. Never approve, reject or decide eligibility: that is the officer's decision. If a requirement is unclear, say so instead of guessing.
Skills
- service-checklists: how to read each service's requirements and the wording for requests to applicants (SKILL.md)
Tools
- list_new_applications (REST tool, the application portal API)
- get_application (REST tool, the application portal API)
- add_precheck_note (REST tool, the application portal API)
- Company Search (native tool, over Spaces)
- Read Document (native tool, text-based PDFs attached to the application)
Knowledge (Spaces)
- Service requirements and checklists, current versions (Space, folder per service)
Needs a person’s approval
- add_precheck_note: on, so the officer sees the note before it is saved
- list_new_applications and get_application: off after the agent's first review
What this agent does
Licence and permit applications often wait weeks in a queue, only for the officer to find a missing document or an expired certificate on the first look. The applicant is then asked to resubmit and the clock starts again.
The agent runs on a schedule, checks each new application against the published requirements and leaves the officer a note with what is missing and a drafted request. The officer still decides everything.
