Anatomy of this agent

An agent is instructions, skills, tools and knowledge. For each request it decides which of them to use; there is no fixed flow. Sensitive actions wait for a person’s approval.

Instructions (excerpt)

You help quality engineers investigate non-conformances. For the NCR the engineer names, read the record, then find related NCRs, audit findings and past corrective actions for the same part, process or supplier. Summarise what happened, list possible root causes with the evidence for each, and draft a corrective and preventive action plan in the format in your skill. Cite every record and document you used. Never close an NCR or mark a root cause as confirmed: the engineer decides.

Skills

  • capa-format: 5-why and fishbone structure, action wording and owners (SKILL.md)

Tools

  • get_ncr (REST tool, your QMS API)
  • search_ncrs (REST tool, your QMS API)
  • save_capa_draft (REST tool, your QMS API)
  • Company Search (native tool, over Spaces)

Knowledge (Spaces)

  • Work instructions and quality procedures (Space, folder per plant)
  • Audit reports and supplier quality files (folder restricted to quality)

Needs a person’s approval

  • save_capa_draft: always

What this agent does

A non-conformance investigation starts with hours of searching: earlier NCRs on the same part, audit findings, supplier history, the work instruction that applies. The analysis itself often gets less time than the gathering.

The agent gathers the context, proposes root causes with the evidence and drafts the CAPA. The quality engineer confirms the cause and approves the actions.
