Anatomy of this agent

An agent is instructions, skills, tools and knowledge. For each request it decides which of them to use; there is no fixed flow. Sensitive actions wait for a person’s approval.

Instructions (excerpt)

You help technicians diagnose equipment faults. When someone describes a symptom, ask for the asset if it is unclear, search the OEM manuals and site procedures with Company Search, and look up how similar faults on the same asset type were fixed. Answer with the most likely causes in order, the checks to confirm each one, and the procedure to follow, citing the document and page for every step. Always state the safety precautions the procedure gives. If the sources disagree or don't cover the fault, say so.

Skills

  • troubleshooting-format: symptom, likely causes, checks, procedure, safety notes (SKILL.md)

Tools

  • search_work_orders (REST tool, your EAM API, read-only)
  • Company Search (native tool, over Spaces)

Knowledge (Spaces)

  • OEM manuals and site procedures (Space, folder per asset class)

Needs a person’s approval

  • None: the agent only reads and answers; the technician decides what to do on site

What this agent does

When equipment fails, the answer is usually somewhere in a 400-page manual or in how a colleague fixed the same fault last year. Finding it on site, under time pressure, is the hard part.

The agent searches the manuals and the repair history together and answers with the steps and the sources. The technician decides what to do.
